

Not only is regular exercise good for your health and well-being, but it can also improve how you do many of your tasks during the day. When you are participating in physical activities, your body is delivering the necessary nutrients and oxygen to keep you going. This process will fuel your energy and keep you going throughout the day!
So… what is physical activity? Physical activity, or exercise, is any bodily movement that builds up your muscles and cardiovascular system. It improves physical fitness and helps prevent diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer. The benefits of exercise are not just physical; they also include an increased sense of well-being.
Many of us lead desk-bound lives and recently, work from home, this can translate to having less of a motivation to be active outside of the house. The good news is that our bodies are made to move—it’s just a matter of getting up and doing it! And this doesn’t have to mean going outside or running a marathon. Physical activity can be as simple as walking more, just enough to make you still feel a part of the physical world. Make a conscious effort to stay active in your profession as much as possible!
Start with 10 minutes a day of exercise and then work up to 30 minutes 3 times a week. Set attainable goals that you know you can keep up with based on your schedule. Creating unrealistic, strenuous goals at the start can be a recipe for failure. Odds are, you have done that before and it didn’t work. Take the time to gradually build habits and a routine. This can be simple and easy. 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week.
